Helping every child feel calm, safe, and confident.Comfort Options

We understand that some children feel anxious about visiting the dentist — and that’s completely normal. Our team takes extra care to make every visit positive, gentle, and stress free.

Comfort
Techniques

Our pediatric team specializes in helping children feel at ease from the moment they arrive. We use gentle communication, encouragement, and patience to create a calm, positive environment.

We incorporate:

  • Tell-Show-Do – explaining each step in child-friendly language so kids know what to
    expect
  • Distraction and positive reinforcement – keeping visits light, encouraging, and fun
Gentle techniques – always working at your child’s pace
  • Parent involvement – you’re welcome to stay nearby to reassure your child and provide
    comfort

* We believe building trust early helps children feel more confident about dental care for years to
come.

Nitrous
Oxide

(“Laughing Gas”) - Nitrous oxide is a mild, safe sedative that helps children feel relaxed while staying awake and responsive.
  • The gas is inhaled through a small, comfortable nose mask and takes effect within minutes.
  • The gas is quickly reversible — once the mask is removed, normal breathing clears it from the body within seconds.
  •  Most children describe feeling calm, light, or giggly.
  •  It’s an excellent option for mild anxiety or short procedures.

General Anesthesia in an
Outpatient Surgical Center

For very young children or children with special health care needs who cannot safely tolerate
dental treatment in the office, we offer care under general anesthesia in an accredited
outpatient surgical center.

This option allows us to complete all necessary dental treatment in one visit while your child is
fully asleep and monitored by a licensed anesthesia team.

  • Performed in a safe, controlled environment
  • Supervised by board-certified anesthesia professionals
  • Ideal for children with extensive needs, severe anxiety, or limited cooperation

*Our pediatric dentists coordinate closely with the anesthesia team to ensure your child’s safety and comfort before, during, and after the procedure. Parents receive detailed instructions and support every step of the way.

Our Approach

Our top priority is your child’s comfort and safety. Whether your little one needs mild relaxation or care in a hospital setting, we provide compassionate, individualized attention — ensuring every experience builds trust, confidence, and a healthy relationship with dental care
