Gentle, effective care for growing smiles Restorative Dentistry for Children

Even with great brushing and regular checkups, children can still develop cavities or dental injuries. Our goal is to restore their teeth comfortably, safely, and in a way that supports long term oral health. Every treatment plan is tailored to your child’s age, needs, and comfort level

Tooth-Colored
Fillings

For small to moderate cavities, we often use tooth-colored, BPA-free composite fillings.

These materials blend naturally with your child’s teeth and restore strength and function while maintaining a healthy, natural look.

Amalgam
Fillings

In some cases — especially for baby molars or larger areas of decay — amalgam (silver) fillings may be recommended.

Amalgam remains one of the most durable materials for withstanding chewing pressure in young patients, particularly when moisture control is difficult. We follow current safety standards from the American Dental Association (ADA) and always choose materials based on what’s safest and most effective for your child’s individual needs.

Stainless Steel
Crowns

When a baby tooth is too damaged for a filling, we may recommend a stainless steel crown.

These crowns are strong, reliable, and protect the tooth until it naturally falls out. For front teeth, we also offer tooth-colored or white crowns for a more natural appearance when appropriate

Pulp
Therapy

(Nerve Treatment)
If a cavity reaches the nerve of a baby tooth, pulp therapy (sometimes called a baby root canal) can relieve pain and save the tooth.

Keeping baby teeth healthy until they’re ready to fall out naturally helps maintain space for permanent teeth and proper bite development

Space
Maintainers

If a baby tooth is lost early, a space maintainer may be used to prevent crowding or shifting of nearby teeth.

This simple device helps ensure that permanent teeth come in correctly later on.

Our Approach

We take a gentle, conservative approach to care — treating only what’s necessary and explaining every step to parents. Whether we use composite, amalgam, or stainless steel, our focus is always the same: restoring function comfortably and keeping your child’s smile healthy and strong.
